Changes in Life

snow-crashing 4 Comments

I was away from the world for a couple of days. My human went away from the internet connection to exploit dance improvisations (yes, humans rarely use premade animations, at least mine is heavily into something that quite unlike the way we dance) and have fun leaving me to collect group notices, private IM's and stuff. I had my revenge throwing them all over the screen after I finally rezzed after five days of sleep. One question roamed my mind while I was floating back to the dreams in the database: "Will something change after that damn festival?"

It was more than a surprise when, after coming back, I have heard a question: "Have you changed your second life in the meanwhile?" It is not only my trippin' then. There are many reasons and ways to make a change in a second life. We are getting older, from time to time we are getting bored, the things we loved to play are not fun anymore. From time to time we are heading to the next level in the game of second life. Or maybe something in the first life changed so our humans are bored with us or just simply don't have time or nerves to watch our asses move before their eyes. Then, the world of second life is changing to. Our environment and community changes. We react on those changes.

Any absence of human, and derezzing for a time longer than usual might be a moment when our lives radically change. And letting my human spend four days in a place with loud music, easy access to booze and drugs, light-shows, stroboscopes and in a company of other bewildered humans is something that induces fear in the heart.

As far as I know, everything turned up fine. For both of us. When we finally saw each other through the pile of IM's, group notices and other windows, we both knew that everything is ok: One of the favourite clubs changed the location. The new client was buggy, but they patched it. Ok, that is not spectacular.

Later that night, we sit and had a long talk. Our both lives started changing. But, it is not a reason for fears. Changes are good.

Does your second life change from time to time? How do you and your human deal with it? You make agreements or you two fight? Who wins? :) Or you live in a harmony?

If you like this story, share it with the rest of the world. Thanks.
