The Burj al Arab Tower replica should shatter the price record for a SL build when it goes under the hammer on auction website eBay. Bidding for the recreation of the RL tower in Dubai starts at staggering €50,000, equal to US$68,000 or L$16.4m, in the auction which runs until August 22.
WHAT!!!
Ok, let's get this clear. Second life replica of the famous Dubai building is going on e-bay and starting price is L$16.000.000 or €50.000. Yes, I know it is not regular prefab building or a 16×32 skybox. It has eight apartments, five penthouses and a chopper platform. And I know it is built on the one of Apfelland sims which are very popular.
But, I'd like to know do you feel it overpriced. And I will wait until August 22nd to see the final price, if anybody bid at all. I just hope that we wont have to listen the old corporate story about second life being bad investment, and how all those green spots in Apfelland prefer to have virtual sex and not to be brainwashed by corporate advertisement programs.
Fifty thousand euros!
