It happened yesterday, and it happened so many times before. Teleports are not working and the best one can do is to sit at own home location, or at the place of the last log off and to do IMing with a friend. Nice, but I can use ICQ and a screenshot for that. Yesterday, I stumbled across Lisa Rein's little trick and only thing that came to my mind was: "Am I really that stupid?!"

For most of you one screenshoot will tell everything to ask yourself the same question.

If you still don't get it…. do as follows:

  1. You logged in, find that TP's are down.
  2. Check the friends list, see who is there. Think who you want to have coffee with. It works for one or more persons.
  3. IM them.
  4. One prerequisite is that in your preferences show start location on login screen is checked

  5. Decide where you want your coffee (or whatever your mutual pleasure is).
  6. You need the exact name of the region, not the name of the club. That is the name before the set of three numbers in the landmark. (Natoma in this case)

  7. Log out
  8. Log in again. This time, choose type region name in start location field and type, you know… the region name.
  9. Enjoy :p

Sure you can move around the grid this way as much as it doesn't bother you to log-out-log-in all the time. But, at some crushy days, you do that anyway.
