No, I am not going to talk much about new Linden's banning of the gambling in second life. There is not much to say we already don't know. And I am not in the mood for ranting. (Hey, dandellion, what's up with you, are you OK?) I will accept the fact that some people are deaf and blind against their own good and against the basic moral principles. I won't go after the story that their dreams (and their money) are compromised by what they do. I don't care about their dreams. I care about our world.
And my world is about freedom. Maybe I am an idealist, but… My human's grandad was fighting Nazis in the WWII. My human ate its doses of the tear gas fighting Milosevic's regime. I am just a 3D mash in virtual world but I am very fond of living freely. I am not going to buy more Linden Lab's stupidities.
For weeks now, I am reading Laetizia's adventures with Robin Linden (here, here and probably on some more places). It is not just word banning from the event announcements, it is not just about stupidity of word filters, and no, it is not just about Robin making Laetizia (and all of us) fools, speaking own monologue over and over again. There is no point attending office hours, trying to make this world better for both Lindens and the residents. We all know that. Lindens know that too.
Question is, if one really cares about the metaverse, what is to be done? Is it worth a fight? And how to fight? This was meant to be a brave new world (correct me if I am wrong), but now it turns out as a possible darkest dictatorship. And I am not gonna live in it. We had it enough for a life time, my human and I.

I’ve been watching closely, as well, and I’m worried about the erosion of our freedoms in SL, from the Lindens, but more from the people pressuring LL into action – fundamentalists in the atomic world, who are opposed to our sexual freedom, and fundamentalists in SL, who are opposed to our freedoms of identity.
I just want to live my life in peace, but I worry that that choice will be taken from me, and that I’ll have to turn to political action to protect myself , my family, and our way of life…
Yes, the thing that is a mistery to me is who is really to blame. There are Lindens and there are those who are pressuring them (now we can also discuss who is that exactly). And then, if Lindens are not the source or repressio but mere conductor, are they to be blamed?
