Reckless Driving

snow-crashing No comments yet

I was reading some note-card when something hit me, started pushing and rammed against the wall. White and red it was as I caught a glimpse behind the window of the notecard. The first curse was running towards my lips when Spider apologized by IM. He and MissKittin were a bit wild in a 60's red and white convertible. Regular evening drink&driving. Then they hit me again. I had no choice but to join them and jump into the car. We started chasing some big guy through the streets of Suffugium.

Despite what we were doing, we were not griefing. Mind you, we are not griefers, we're just three young avatars having a wild night, driving recklessly and behaving irresponsibly. We were enjoying the immortality of second life and we were sharing that with our fellow residents.

The big guy started shooting at us. Well that is not supposed to be a nice behaviour. There was no point to make war while we had another free seat in the car. So we rammed him and invited to join us. Just as expected, nice word is always welcome so he jumped in the car too.

Now, we had a full car but nobody else on the sim to run over. Though everything we have done that evening was pure griefing activity, there was something different. Motivation! No way that anybody in that old convertible had an intention to annoy anybody on the grid. We were just playing a game and had a bit unusual way to call other people to join us. Does that makes a difference? What makes griefing griefing?

If you like this story, share it with the rest of the world. Thanks.
